photos have landed

Yes finally got the photo thing happening. I had blinky evan sending them to me from his burrow but they weren't arriving down my burrow. If you are looking at this blog for the first time please become a contributor. I'll be asking evan to forward any email addresses he has of wombat folk and you will duly receive an invite. Anyone who doesn't have my email, (my real one is a bit iffy) try tomtextabc@hotmail.com

photo failure

Yep, technology has gotten the best of us. Well, blinky evan's photos did arrive but I duly deleted them, wooops. Anyway, as soon as evan emails them again I will up load them. Rita and I have just spent a few days down at the Pittwater north of Sydney and had a ball kayaking around and avoiding the various wildlife. Yes we saw no fewer than two pythons about eight feet long, how is that? Rita had just finished saying it was the first snake she had ever seen then after a 12 year wait for that big event she saw her second just half and hour later, how's that? Also saw a goanna, I know, ho hum for wombat folk, and a rather pesky possum that I had to chase away because it was being a pest, helping itself to our dinner. I wanted to see a shark while paddling around but Rita wasn't to keen on that. Anyway, now back in the mountains and it is back to work on the house. The builders have finally left but the work here is far from finished. However, I think I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. (or is that a train coming at me at full speed?)

droppings from the wombat house

Well hi everyone. I got up this morning and felt like I needed a good blog, that's blog. Ok, this came out of the Easter get together at the wombat house and discussions with Blinky Evan and our desire to upload some photos online and generally have a bit of chat between fellow wombat folk. I promised Evan I'd do this in a week or two so here is the very first posting and some photos from evan's collection. I'll ask evan to spread the word and pass on the blog address and hopefully we can enthuse other blinky bloggers. It is as easy as falling down a wombat hole in the dark to become a contributor and to add your photos (add other stuff besides) so go to the blogspot website and find out more. If you still have any queries send me and email and I might be able to help. Also, a nifty feature of the blogspace is that you can easily change the date and time of a posting (you'll see what I mean if you start publishing postings) so people with old photos and stuff can add it in retrospectively
